To start, I am an apologetic atheist under the definition of it meaning "without religion." I was raised Catholic, so I know the stories pretty well, but I am very against the concept of organized religion and the crazy things people do because of it. "The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all cattle, and above all wild animals; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life." This seems to imply that the serpent at one time was doing something else rather than being on its belly all of the time.

Fascinating take on it! I think the argument holds water. =D

It's caused some pretty fucked up shit. The Holocaust was caused by Christian fundamentalism. But it's influenced more good than bad I think. Art, moral ethics, America. I don't like listening to people gripe about America, because I have traveled to Peurto Rico and India... and from what I have experienced, I am thankful to have been born and raised here.
It's the government I am mostly angry at- boasting a nation under God, but then judging themselves who should have equal rights.
