When you are copypasta-ing a quiz result or what have you in HTML code, make sure to switch LJ to "HTML" rather than "Rich text" (which is the default). I can read HTML, but my computer is much better at it

...did I do something to upset LiveJournal? Because HTML is default for me. I don't think I've ever even seen the Rich Text window before. I'm not complaining, because I even write things in Google Docs with carrots.

I think it remembers your settings, so if you switch it once, it stays there.

This. I dislike Rich Text, so I've been using HTML for years and it hasn't switched up on me since I first changed it when I got the journal something like five/six years ago.

Me too. Plus, the email comment notification reply form uses html. Also it's just easier to keep typing rather than having to mouse to a button (and I can do annoying nifty things like marquee text)
