Not sure how someone else can help other than harass me into doing it, haha. Though I admit reading other people's progress or posts on productivity make me want to be able to post one as well.

I've read so many books and websites and things on productivity and motivation but yet I sit here and watch netflix. I think some of it may have to do with living away from everyone and possibly a minor depressive/lonely state. And much of what needs to be done is at home, so I can't do it here. Though there's lots I CAN do online... I just get easily distracted. And I think some of it may be delayed out of fear of other people's opinions (emails looking for responses, etc).

There's a point at which you can sit down and evaluate how important AND how urgent things are, and not be driven mad by the process - but you may be past that point ( ... )

I'm a last minute doer of things, too. I learned how to prioritize by deadline in university and that's pretty much how I live my entire life now. :D

I think the productivity model with the times is something I could do. Starting is usually the hard part, but if I say "only 30 minutes!" I can probably do it, you know? I would just then have to make sure the breaks don't get carried away, as they are wont to do.

When I don't know where to start/can't get motivated, I pick the shortest, fastest, dumbest thing on the list, do that and cross it off. And then the next one and maybe the one after that. Then I usually can find the headspace to do something longer yet urgent. But if I can't, then I've just crossed off two or three things that needed doing, good job self ( ... )

The idea for the bathrooms is interesting. I might have to try that. I find if the cleaning supplies are there and handy I'm more likely to do the cleaning. If I have to run down the stairs to get them, then it's not as easy as there are more distractions and delay time before getting it done.

I think I'll have to try and set a few daily goals and see what I can do, and find ways, like the cleaning thing that work for me, to make some tasks easier and less of a chore.
