I have a western digital passport, I think. I love it, and it's compatible with macs and windows. Was a bout $100, but you can get smaller ones for less.

I have one of the My Book ones, and I love it! It's 465 GB and I believe it was around $75 or so at Office Max. It's great!

i also have a WD passport (no joke, it's about the size of a passport, only approx. 1/2 inch thick) and it's pretty sweet. 250 gigs. i can't remember how much it was, but i got it off amazon. online shopping should be fine, and since it connects to your computer via usb, it's pretty much compatible with anything right now.

I have two Smartdisk FireLite externals. Not sure how big they are, but model #USBFLB80. They're probably not too big though because I use one for just music and random old documents and another one for just pictures. I think I got them at Staples or something... they were either two for $80 or $80 each. I've had them for a few years though, and they definitely made it a LOT easier on my computer when it was really running out of space.
