i just found a tick on my bed and now i'm afraid of a full-on invasion. this is what happens when you go hiking. giant, eight-foot beavers i can handle, tiny, blood-sucking arachnids i cannot.

i didn't cry, but my movements did sort of resemble that woman we met at the lower harbor. i was turning in circles all over.
