PREFACE:For my forensic anthropology course, we were split into groups for a 'study of decomposition' exercise. How are we going to study decomposition, you ask? Well, I'll tell you. By burying a PIG, and checking up on it periodically throughout the semester. Pigs are the closest animal to humans in terms of skin composition and decomp processes.

until i had to see the dressed pig. why'd they have to dress it?

the other surface group had to clothe the pig to see if it had any effect on decomposition rates, versus our naked pig. also to see if animals, bugs, etc. are attracted to one pig or the other. and to see, when it's fully decomposed into just skeleton, if the bones remain in the articles of clothing.
