I really liked this; very well written and thoughtfully interwoven with the onscreen events of S5, and some great characterisations. Loved all the little sidelights on the televised story, and thought your Romana (III?) made a great POV character, but for me the highlights were Wee Amelia and Eleven - I think you got both their voices spot on. So, yes, very good work! :D

Thank you very much! :D

I think it's III, yes. Wee Amelia was my favourite to write, so I'm so glad she came out well!

Well, for my money you wrote her very well indeed - I think it's hard writing kids and making them convincing, and I think you pulled it off. :)

Chiming in to say that this was all different types of wonderful. It makes me want to re-watch the series and try to pick out who in the background might be Romana. I like the ending and the way you tie everything around and together again. This may well be worming its way into my fanon for the season.

Wooof--just got through. That is quite impressively masterful. Once again I'm impressed by your ability to set a scene so quickly and simply and yet richly and convincingly, which this fic certainly showcases. And I love the way you weave Romana in through everything--particularly her interactions with Amelia and Aunt Sharon for some reason.

I'll admit my knowledge of Romana is confined to "City of Death" and dribs I've picked up from other fics, but obviously she is awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend some extended time with her :-)

Aw, thank you for reading it! I belatedly realised I may have sort of forced you to by mentioning your meta, which definitely wasn't my intention. (I'm not even sure that what I got from the meta was distiguishable in the end.)

Romana is indeed awesome, yes. :)

Oh, no worries. I was happy to read it :-)

I was kind of wondering where my meta had factored in and whether I had missed it, but I understand how that gets--something inspires you but then the finished product grows away from it. Still glad to be a part of the creative process.

I swear it *is* there somewhere, just in other words and broken up over 10k. ;)
