I want Romana back like burning, but at the same time I'm afraid that they'll do it wrong because the expectations run high...
She's a tricky one, because, despite her place in fandom, she's never actually been a reoccuring character (not outside of the audios anyway). Bringing the Master back was easy because he just -always- shows up, but Romana walked off into E-space in 1979 and hasn't been seen since (well, fic and novels and audios and comics and webcasts aside. heh)
I think if they brought back the Time Lords in general and she happened to be there as President or the such and Eleven and her just sort acknowledged each other that would make me happiest. And then, thus established, she could pop in and out of the Whoniverse being awesome whenever she so pleased.
I want River's role in the show to have ended before they bring back Romana. Right now, it seems like they want River to be the (humanoid) character he's love/trusted More Than Anybody Else Ever, and bringing Romana back now would just have her be unfavourably compared to the Doctor's True Love.

But on the other hand the short return of the Time Lords in Tens finale left me with the feeling "better dead than treated like THIS" :-(
