One thing that truly amuses me about the recent changes Facebook made is that they created a community page for my "employer." That employer, by the way, is me, but because I noted my doing-business-as name (Rebecca of Many Trades) when I signed up, FB decided that was my employer

Yeah, one of my buddies received a suggestion to befriend somebody he may have known from working together at "self-employed." Somehow I doubt it.

My other peeve is when the tell me two of my friends are friends with this person, so I should be also. When those two friends are a couple, it's not a very good equation to assume I know all their friends.

I had thought about changing mine to self-employed, but then I looked at that "community" and decided to leave mine be.

I'm with you on the friends-of-friends thing. I also don't like having pages suggested to me. Just because I like one thing doesn't mean I'll like something else FB thinks is similar. Nor does it mean I'll like something just because one of my friends likes it.
