This alternate backstory is freaking amazing. Particularly since "Dom Cobb, the world's most skilled extractor" = A+ Coob characterisation. HOW DID I NEVER REALISE BEFORE THAT THE BEST CHARACTERISATION OF MAL IS THAT SHE'S JUST AS AWFUL AS COOB, AND THEREFORE THEY ARE MFEO?
