Amy snorted. "Do you ever take off your suit?" she asked. "Even for a minute? We are going to the beach. You could wear something short-like or beachy!"
It was all a lost cause, she supposed. The Doctor was ridiculously stuck within his own dress sense and he couldn't see just how absolutely terrible it looked at times.
"What do you think?" Amy said, giving a twirl. She'd donned a bright yellow top and a matching pleated miniskirt with her flip-flop shoes.
"This is beachy." He looked down at his suit, a confused frown on his face. "We're on a beach and I'm wearing it, so it's beachy. And yes. I wore the proper attire for a football match, when I played football." Hmph.
The Doctor pushed his sunglasses down his nose as Amy twirled, then popped them back into place. "It's yellow. Well done."
"Including the bow-tie?" Amy asked, giving it a dubious look over her sunglasses.
She wouldn't admit to being a little irritated at how he didn't notice her new outfit. He never noticed her at all, which was downright frustrating. Amy knew she was hot. She spent most of her young life single, but men saw her and thought she looked good. It was like the Doctor thought she was already taken or something. It didn't make any sense.
"Yes, of course. Including the - wait, in which part? No for football, yes for the beach." The Doctor swept his hand around. "Beach, beachy, beach attire. See? Follow along, Pond."
He started walking, expecting her to come along after him. "To a spot with good sun, near the water?" He looked over his shoulder and smiled. "Why? Expecting trouble?"
