Oh the rant on the way to lab was thoroughly entertaining. :-) Absence makes the heart grow fungus... is not mine... as much as I would love to claim that it is. It's a BNL lyric... one of my favourites. :-)

YOU! i need to talk to you. it's been ages. i swear, i talk to people miles and miles away more than you and it irks me. i tried to call you the other night but of course you weren't there. >_< contact me. i'll be here this weekend (not going home for once, yay!).
i don't know. i think it's because we are aware that the happiness just can't last. knowing that colors it with a sadness that the lack of happiness can't have. still, i'd rather be far away and with him than not with him at all.
Perhaps because to live is to feel pain, and nothing reminds us more of how alive we are than happiness.
Isn't it amazing how all emotion is so interconnected? It is indeed a many splintered thing. Still, it would get rather dull if we only had one at any particular time. We might actually be able to figure ourselves out, and we can't have that, now can we?
