today, i made maki-sushi. real maki-sushi, you know. the rice alone took me close to an hour to complete (it involved soaking and seaweed and seasoned vinegar...). i had to marinate the shiitake mushrooms for a while, in soy sauce, mirin, and sugar, another goodly amount of time. wash, dry, chop the scallions. blah blah blah. maki-sushi

i dreamt about sushi last night. specifically, finding the fresh tuna fillet that i could use for chopped-tuna temaki. yum. too bad it wasn't real. >shakes fist at wegmans
