Why do I bother?

You know what I'm sick of? Bullshit. I'm surrouned by it everywhere I go, every single day. And I'm tired of it. Tired of listening to it, tired of living with it, tired of putting up with it ( Read more... )

What frustrates me right now is that I can't think of a way to soften what needs to be said because I feel I'm being personally attacked for things that are not actually my responsibility. For those who read, I want to air my point of view ( ... )

Message board on fridge ... useless. elf_child June 7 2006, 01:53:14 UTC
So, you're telling me that you couldn't have taken a few seconds to write on the board that you weren't able to pick up the stuff for me? Nor could you have just made polite mention of it when I got home? This is completely out of the question, is it? I didn't expect you to do it. I asked you to. Big difference. You could have just said, "Sorry, Beth, I didn't have the time/money to get the juice and milk for you today." I don't know about you, but that sounds pretty simple to me ( ... )

True, there is no black and white here, is there? This stuff might be out of order, but ah well...

I don't like doing my daycare early, but there are nights when I would like to finish early and come home. I generally decide against it in order to avoid that glare and that "oh, you're home". I don't feel welcome or allowed to come back earlier than when you've gone to bed.

The majority of the dishes were already done days before I even did any today. I just hadn't put them away. There were maybe 5 items of yours in the dirty pile today. Point taken, I will stop using your dishes and I will clean yours first. <-- In writing for the world to see. I didn't think it was a problem to use them at this point if I was washing them anyway. If you need a dish or two specifically done, let me know, otherwise I will still wait for a few of yours before I do them. In response, could you bring your dishes to the kitchen to be cleaned or throw out your food garbage within a day or two? I don't get to my Tim Hortons' bags and stuff ( ... )

One big problem with livejournal unfortunately is that everyone we know can see the dirty laundry when we post. I can't help but respond to a comment about how you are living with bullshit when our journals are linked closely. It's not a direct attack, but it's close enough to imply insult to those you're living with at home. I too have issues that I have to figure out how to deal with myself. I'm also stressed, but I show it in different ways and sometimes I wonder if it makes me forgetful. My memory's been shit the past few months. My alone time doesn't always fix my stress. I think too much of it tends to be bad for me, (and makes me sleep too much so sometimes my day doesn't start until it's almost or already too late) but I'm still not much of a people person either. I guess we're going to have to figure out a schedule or something that we can live with.

Do you think it might be a good idea for us to separate our journals? Then make them friends only and stuff, then we can rant however we need to without offence?

Sick of the bullshit? Move off the farm. :) Have a great day, we all have to deal with shit sometimes. You just need to find the handle & flush to get rid of it.
