Posting and English whoring

1. "makes" bothers me more that "wrong"

2. "The department" is an indefinate inanimate, it can not be the modifer of the verb/action.

3. I think there's a modifier or conjunction mssing as well... "The department can make..." "The department always makes" "The department never makes.."

I'm no grammar guru. What bothers me more than the word wrong in there is the department making wrong (or incorrect) calculations. A person makes a calculation or a computer does, not a department (or do they all do it together as a team).

Then again I work for a francophone company and I'm used to seeing statements such as "Are you sure you want to add so much numbers" or "The administration process she is efficient and capable". After a while you are happy if you can just puzzle out what they meant to say.

I certainly am no one to even approach the subject of correct grammer, but wanted to say that I understand.

I need to write for myself to understand issues I am dealing with, often the jumble of thoughts is overwhelming. I also have the short circuit issue that happens from my thoughts to words written, so I completely understand how such a task can be draining.

Alas I wish that I could write 1/5 as eloquently as your cherishedelf
