Harry looked up at the sky and sighed deeply.
The sun was shining brightly and no clouds were in sight.
It would be a lovely day to sit and cuddle with your loved one in the garden, while drinking cold pumpkin juice and eating half melted Chocolate Frogs, if, your loved one wasn’t sitting on the grass sobbing like the world was coming to an end.
“Come on Ron,” Harry said and squeezed Ron’s shoulder, “It’s not that bad,”
Ron looked at him with big, teary, blue eyes, “But.. but.. Not that bad! How can you say it’s not that bad?! It’s horrible!” he exclaimed and started to sob louder.
Harry huffed loudly, “Damn it, Ron! I agreed with you to bury it, but I am not going to let you cry over it like it dying is the end of the world!” he growled.
“You.. you don’t understand Harry, he was my best friend!” Ron sobbed and ran his fingers across the small stone in front of him, while more tears poured from his eyes.
Harry rolled his eyes at this, “And what am I? Am I your house plant then?”
Ron ignored him and ran his fingers over the stone again, “Ervin and I always had so much fun together. He could always make me smile when I saw him,” he said and smiled sadly to himself.
Harry was about to say something when Ron’s words sank in, “Wait, you gave it a name?! Bloody hell Ron! You’re acting like it’s a person!”
“He is as much a person as you and me!” Ron said and glared at Harry.
“He is not a person Ron! He’s a.. He’s not even a ‘he’! It’s a ruddy plant!” Harry yelled with a frustrated look.
Ron gasped loudly and stared at him with shocked eyes, “I can’t believe you! Why are you so cruel Harry?! I would never have thought that of you,”
“Ron, you’re over exaggerating,” Harry sighed.
“No, you are mean! Go away, I don’t want to talk to you anymore,” Ron said and crawled a little away from Harry.
“Ron come on,” Harry said and tried to reach out for Ron, but he only huffed in return and crawled further away.
“We’ll owl Neville tomorrow and ask him to find a new plant for you okay?” Harry said, “And you can call it Bobby if you want, I don’t care,”
Ron only let out a loud sob and sent a glare at Harry.
Harry rolled his eyes at the sight and got up from the ground and started to walk back towards their house, “I’ll go owl Neville now then,” he called over his shoulder.
Ron stuck his tongue out at Harry’s back and started to cry again.
“Goodbye Ervin,” Ron sobbed and placed his hand over the stone, “I will always love you,”
“It’s a plant!” Harry yelled from inside the house.
“Yeah well he’s a better plant than you ever will be!” Ron yelled back.
