So, yeah. I went to the party at Borders. (If I had known that U of O was having a Potter Party, I would have gone there.) Still, lots of cool people went. We had dinner first with fearga and K, as well as vesta_aurelia at Ambrosia, and that was lovely and fun. The food was excellent, and all of us had dessert (of course). I agree with you when you say it was great people went that apeshit over a book. I wish people would get that excited over books more too.

the paper this morning said that, in the US alone, there were 8.3 million (yes, million) copies sold within the first 24 hours of release. Didn't see what it said for world wide sales though...

Dagnabbit, Dustin was right! We were at Costco early on Saturday, to get our book, and I commented on you guys not being there, too. His response was that you had probably gone to a party and gotten yours there. I said I didn't think that possible, lol, what with you usually going to Costco and you having issues with being around so many people. Dangit, now I get to tell him he was right after all *scuffles feet*

Anyway!!! We are listening to the audio book, so as not to have to figure out who gets to read it first, and risk spoilers (Dustin is not good about keeping his mouth shut lol). So far I've been saddened, but not disappointed.
