More like Lamisodes

So I've not gotten around to watching the BSG mid-season premier yet (and I'm still unspoiled, though I'm seeing both "Best BSG in a long time!" and "OMG, they killed show!" reactions from my flist), but today I sat down and watched the latest batch of webisodes straight through ( Read more... )

I didn't think it was all that bad... except the last few seconds of it.... that pissed me off. it was so ...uninteresting. and involved a relationship which i cared nothing about. but i thought the rest of it was really good. curious of your thoughts before i watch the 2nd one.

Oh, BSG...

I'm just done at this point. It's gotten so angsty, gritty, whiny, and ponderous, and the only characters I even marginally care about at this point are Helo and Athena. And I just don't care enough to keep watching the rest of the silliness.

And the 5th Cylon! I didn't believe it was for real until I saw a Ron Moore interview defending the choice, ridiculously. I am now absolutely convinced that his Robot Chicken appearance, and the method of Cylon-decision revealed there, wasn't a joke after all. *snerk*

Ah well...still plenty of shows I'm loving right now.

i don't care much about helo and athena. i care about laura nd adama and marginally about apollo. i'm interested to see where the Kara line goes since she's not the last but yet she's obviously not normal. i dislike angry Gaeta and i feel like we did this whole 'us vs. them' theme a little too much.

i'm curious about the four of the ship cylons and how they got there.... thousands of years. and obviously ellen and saul and the 'it's all arranged' comment which is true.... but still really??? why??? what the hell does she add to the show if she's a cylon? she was barely likable before. they had such a dysfuncitonal relationship before. seriously, what does she add to plot and or character enrichment?

also curious why they decided to de-cylon the baby. so now there's only one hybrid and one cylon fetus.

there's so few eps left that i'll watch the end... otherwise i knew i would regret it. i did the same with atlantis (though i missed a large bit of the middle of this season but watched the last few)

I used to care about Laura and Bill and Lee, but they all bore me now. Mom and Pops are all wailing and nashing of teeth, and Lee's all sanctimonious politician boy (and not too bright). I'm curious vaguely about Starbuck, but I can always read the wiki after the show ends. And yeah--angry Gaeta holds no interest for me at all.

The whole "the 13th tribe were Cylons!" thing makes no sense. Were they saying the whole population of Earth was made up of the 12 Cylon models we know? If not, how did they 'test the remains' when they've not been able to tell Cylons and humans apart accurately up until now without knowing the physical appearance? And yeah, Ellen is just annoying.

De-Cylon the baby? Was that something in the newest ep? Otherwise I'm not following what you mean there...

Atlantis I haven't seen since the two parter with Daniel Jackson (which was pretty cool). Figure I might check the DVDs when they hit Netflix. Did it end well?
