I have a new sweetheart.
His shelter-name was Cayne, which is much too close in sound to "Caitlin" (my almost-23-year-old longhair), so he'll be getting a new one when I have a better idea of his personality besides Extremely Mellow And Affectionate. He's about three years old, was found stray and almost starved and frozen on a roadside - but had already been neutered when they picked him up, and was obviously someone's pet before this. He's still quite thin from having been out on his own for however long (poor baby), so I'll have to find a balance between making sure he has enough to eat, and keeping him from getting in the habit of gorging.
He's separated from the rest of the house right now, but as non-aggressive as the other two cats are and as calm as he's been 'til this point, I think eventual introductions shouldn't be too painful. *crosses fingers & knocks on wood*
