On Twitter this morning, I saw a RT from Mr Neil Gaiman that linked to this blog post about a young woman, denied health insurance because of a pre-existing condition - her asthma, f'r crying out loud! - who had to have an emergency appendectomy

Oh, that sucks!!! I've been living with asthma my entire life, and currently do not have health (or life!) insurance. I can't even imagine... :(
