It's interesting - looks like the new Royals wear different crowns than the outgoing RMs were wearing. Very... uh, tall. Hm.

You know, I'm sure saying the following will get me into trouble, but y'a know what this made me think? That *if* someone wanted to lobby the SCA BoD to allow same-sex couples to reign, they could use this event to argue their point. The most well known arguement against same-sex couples reigning is that it is not histoical and ruins the 'magic medieval moment' for people. For the SCA to allow royal zombies but not same-sex royalty is argueably philosophically inconsistant. I don't know all the facts so I don't know how strong an arguement could be made, but the pictures made me wonder...
