I missed you! Glad you are having fun. My friend worked in China as an english teacher too and writes about it in his book. He also describes China and other Asian countries much like you do. Pretty interesting.

Yes...his book is called "Transcend" and his name is Richard Joseph. He also has a great website: www.transcend.ws He's the best.
