Hey lyz--its possible that I could arrange to be gone that week while you are in cbus--that's spring break and I was toying with the idea of traveling to DC and/or Florida. So if you still need a place to stay, I might once again be able to offer up my apartment.

Did you get your watch back?

Also, for open houses, I recommend baking! First, who doesn't have fond memories of a house where there were cookies? Second, it fills the house with nice smells. Third, who doesn't want to work with/buy from someone who baked cookies for strangers? win-win-win! :)

Sharon & Deej have already offered to host me for that week, but if you're gone and looking for a housesitter, let me know. Nothing is really set in stone yet. Although it would be ridiculous for me to have visited cbus twice and not seen you!!

Watch hasnt' arrived yet. How about your key?

Baking might be the way to go. I'm so swamped Saturday that I'm not sure I'll be able to get the house clean, but I do have these frozen cinnamon rolls that I could bake and EAT - then the house would still smell good.

Ill let you know--my travel plans are not set yet but i'll figure that out soon.

I did get my key, but i'm concerned about your watch. I dropped it off at the post office (actually gave it to the person at the desk) last week. If its not there in a couple of days or so, we might have a mail issue.

I'm sorry....

Depending on how long you think finding a house in Columbus will take, one idea, which is less than ideal but may be better than a double-move: Moving pods. You pack stuff into shipping containers. These can be delivered or stored. All the must-have stuff for the apartment goes into pods that get delivered to your apartment. The remaining stuff gets stored. When you close, you have the company drop off the stored pods to the new house, and the only stuff you move twice is whatever went to the apartment.

Funny, my mom just suggested that same thing this morning!

We used pods when we moved my mom out to Ohio. She had a two week "layover" from when she had to be out of her old house and into the new. We had a really great experience with them!
