Someday
NC17
MiMin, KyuMin (sort of QMiMin without the QMi) QMi!friendship-ish
summary: Sungmin is confused. Zhou Mi is worried. Kyuhyun is bitchy. This doesn't always make the perfect combo.
warning: smut, teeth rotting fluff at the beginning/end, a little angst
beta: mertlekang-ish

a/n: sort of a sequel to Knockout. (but not really?)

Sungmin licked the tip of the ice cream cone, his eyes shining brightly as the strawberry flavour filled his mouth. He whined as some of it fell out his mouth and onto his white shirt, huffing as he scrambled for a napkin.

“Aigo,” Kyuhyun hushed and grabbed his own napkin, grabbing Sungmin's shirt by the front and wiping off the excess mess Sungmin had made. “Be more careful, Sungmin-ah. We don't want a repeat of -”

Sungmin blushed and sucked on the top of his ice cream cone, looking down at the table.

“Kyuhyun!” Zhou Mi scolded. “Don't worry, Sungmin hyung,” Zhou Mi said as he scooched a bit closer to Sungmin, wrapping his arm around his elder's shoulder.

“Ey!” Kyuhyun yelled and tugged on Sungmin's other arm, the other almost losing his balance and dropping his cone. He hissed and glared at Kyuhyun, trying to release his arm from Kyuhyun's grip.

“Let go,” Sungmin muttered, annoyed as he finished his ice cream. “You guys are weird.”

Zhou Mi gave a cheeky grin and Kyuhyun smirked, tension crackling between the two as Sungmin stood up.

“I want to go shopping,” the eldest announced and Zhou Mi perked up. Shopping was Zhou Mi's speciality, and Kyuhyun's worst nightmare, indicated by the groan the maknae let out. “What?” he asked sharply, pouting.

Kyuhyun's gaze softened and he entwined his hand with Sungmin's. “Nothing,” he answered wistfully as Zhou Mi glared at their hands. “Let's go, Sungmin-ah,” he said as he started to pull Sungmin with him.

“Hey!” Zhou Mi yelled and ran after them, latching onto Sungmin when he snaked an arm around the pink prince's shoulder. He kissed his cheek affectionately and grinned as blush crossed his face.

Sungmin was squished in between Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun on the train, the two doing anything to get Sungmin's attention.

“Oh! Hyung!” Zhou Mi said loudly as he rummaged through his designer bag. “I was at Lotte World with Henry-ah, Donghae hyung and Siwon hyung and I got this for you,” he batted his eyelashes as he waved a soft pink, too adorable bunny plush in front of Sungmin's face.

“Mi!” Sungmin squealed as he snatched the plush out of Zhou Mi's hands. He moved off of Kyuhyun's lap and onto Zhou Mi's, throwing his arms around his neck and giggling. “Oh my gosh,” he said as he played with the ears of the bunny. “It's so cute!”

Sungmin's face lit up as he held the plush to his chest. He smiled at Zhou Mi as the other kissed his lips softly, a satisfied smirk on his face as he took a glance at Kyuhyun.

“Thank you, Mimi,” Sungmin mumbled as he nuzzled his head into the crook of Zhou Mi's neck. Zhou Mi glanced over at Kyuhyun and stuck his tongue out at his other best friend, the other making a disgusted look and returning the gesture.

“You suck,” Kyuhyun muttered and Sungmin frowned, looking up from his own world to see Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun having some sort of a glaring contest.

“Guys,” Sungmin whined as he petted the plush bunny's head. “Don't be like that, please,”

Kyuhyun scooted over and ran his hand through Sungmin's hair. “Okay, Min,” he answered sweetly. His face made a three-sixty degrees change as he looked at Zhou Mi. “Only if Mi stops being an obsessive asshole, though.”

“At least I'm not some creepy stalker like some people I know...”

“... at least he loves me. Unlike you.”

Sungmin's eyes widened, Zhou Mi's jaw dropped in shock and Kyuhyun gave an utter look of pure satisfaction.

“Kyuhyun!” Sungmin yelled, his voice angry and his face even angrier. “Fuck you!” he screamed, gathering his things and holding his plush tight. He got up and walked to the doors, eagerly waiting for the next stop. Less then 30 seconds later the train came to a halt and Sungmin got off, not looking back.

“...Look what you did!”

“Well at least I didn't lie.”

“I hate you.”

“Don't worry, the feeling's mutual.”

Sungmin let out a small sob as Hyukjae ran a hand down his back, his eyes soft. “Sungmin...” the taller boy sighed as Sungmin let out a loud cry.

“A-And I don't get w-why I d-don't love Mi because h-he's so n-nice and I l-like him a l-lot but I love K-Kyu and I don't g-get why because K-Kyu is a bitch and M-Mi is so nice to me and -” he let out another cry. “- and you s-should've seen the look M-Mi had on his face w-when Kyu spoke, h-he looked so d-devastated and I couldn't s-say anything and oh my god, I-I just ran away, h-he probably hates me now!” he ended, short of breath as he wrapped his arms around his knees. He sniffed and Hyukjae passed him a tissue to blow his nose. “Thank you,” he muttered.

“Oh,” Hyukjae said as he looked up. He got up and walked away and Sungmin looked up, confused as he looked at the doorway.

“Mi,” he croaked and Zhou Mi smiled, falling onto his knees in front of Sungmin.

“Min,” he answered, his voice soft as he brushed Sungmin's hair out of his face. “Don't cry, please,” he said, a tone of begging in his voice.

Sungmin's lip quivered and more tears poured out at the words, his head hurting and his throat constricting. “Mi, Mi, Mi,” he chanted as he tackled the other - well, not really, more like clung to the other for dear life.

Zhou Mi ran his hands through Sungmin's hair, holding the other as close as possible. “Sungmin, I -”

“Mi!” Sungmin interrupted as he looked up at Zhou Mi. He leaned in closer so their breaths were mingling, Sungmin's eyes red from excessive crying and his breathing laboured.

“- love you.”

Sungmin's eyes widened and his grip tightened on the front of Zhou Mi's shirt. “M-Mi?” he squeaked out as Zhou Mi pushed him down onto the floor.

“I love you, Sungmin,” Zhou Mi whispered. “Wo ai ni. I love you.”

Sungmin teared up again, his hands curling around Zhou Mi's neck. “Oh, Mi,” he whispered, his voice broken and his eyes soft. “I-I wish...”

“Min,” Zhou Mi hushed and pressed his lips against Sungmin's, lingering there for barely a few seconds. “It's fine.”

“I'm so sorry,” Sungmin whispered, his head spinning as his tears fell again. He barely ever cried - he was strong, with a heart and mind of steel (or at least that's what he told himself) - but when he did, he cried hard.

Zhou Mi's hand trailed up and under the hem of Sungmin's shirt, his fingers lightly tracing the curves of Sungmin's abs. He continued until he reached Sungmin's nipples, moving one of his hands over the right bud, the other reaching down for Sungmin's pants.

“M-Mi,” Sungmin whimpered and gazed longingly at Zhou Mi, looking at the contours of his face, his plump lips, his god-like nose and his caring eyes. He was perfect in both looks and personality, Sungmin thought as his belt was pulled off and Zhou Mi gave a particularly harsh tug on one of his buds.

“You are so gorgeous,” Zhou Mi whispered as he helped Sungmin kick off his pants. “You're amazing,” he continued and he leaned down for a kiss, taking Sungmin's lips quickly. “I love you.”

Sungmin let out a small whine and closed his eyes. “I-I want...” he paused, embarrassed. “...this to be nice, okay? N-Not rough, j-just...”

Zhou Mi nodded and pecked his lips. “I understand, love,” he smiled. His one-thousand watt smile, the one that Sungmin absolutely loved, the one that made Sungmin fall for Zhou Mi.

He loved Zhou Mi's smile, his personality - everything from his shopping obsession to his mother-like ways - his body, his hair, his lips, his face, he loved everything about Zhou Mi.

But he couldn't bring himself to love him.

Zhou Mi traced the crevice of Sungmin's abdomen, going straight past his member and tracing his hole, his finger prodding the entrance.

“B-But, lube,” Sungmin stuttered and Zhou Mi perked up.

“Oops,” he murmured as he scrambled around the room for a bottle of lube. Finding some under a blanket, he smeared a healthy amount on his fingers and went back to attempting to press his finger inside the smaller man.

“Ah,” Sungmin moaned and smiled at Zhou Mi.

“I trust you.”

“I know. I love you, Min.”

Sungmin curled in Zhou Mi's embrace, his eyes closed and his right arm thrown around Zhou Mi's waist. His back was sore but his heart was anything but, beating erratically in his chest and his heart strings being played with like a puppet.

And as he fell asleep with his head on Zhou Mi's chest, he thought that Maybe, yes, he did love Kyuhyun. But maybe it wasn't impossible to love more then one person - after all, he loved his friends, his parents, so why couldn't he love Zhou Mi?

Because his heart beat faster thinking about the other, giggling when he received sweet texts, wishing for the other's arms to be around him every second of the day, wanting nothing other then to see Zhou Mi's perfect smile - maybe, just maybe this what love was.

a/n: so yeah I sort of skimmed the ending because a. I suck at writing smut b. I'm too busy planning antique!bakery kyumin and/or hanchul AU and c. I'm a lazy ass. The second half isn't beta'd because my dear beta won't reply. Because it's who knows what time there. So yeah. /bricked

Comments = loved.
