How dare you fly your national flag in your country - it offends me!

Earlier today I heard this story and thought it was a joke. Now after coming home and taking a further look it seems to be true. Basically a Brisbane resident was told by his local council that a neighbour had made a complaint that the Australian flag he was flying in his front yard was offensive.

Wow....the person who complained should go live in the USA. You can't drive by five houses without seeing American flags on at least four of them.
Who complains about flags anyways??? And it's interesting that the article tries to make it out as an issue of where the pole is situated.

I agree...whoever complained about the flag being offensive should go back to where they came from.
