Birthday countdown - 11 Days

One of the vestiges of my childhood that has yet to die, the birthday countdown. My birthdays, as a child, were the stuff of Toys 'R Us Circulars. I think I can only remember two or three actual birthday parties, I just didn't have the proper temperament to make it possible without a meltdown over something, but the adults in my life always

I actually get more excited about my birthday now than I did as a kid...

Maybe it is because I worked so hard to still be having them? LOL.

No matter what one does to celebrate, I think everyone should have a day to feel extra special.

I love that you're still so excited about birthdays. I especially love that your parents made it something special for you instead of something to dread. And in 10 days, I will eat a cupcake in your honor and smile. :)
