The Reverse Bechdel test?

What has two cast members from Sherlock, one from Being Human, one from Dr Who, and *ARTHUR* in it, and makes both the MIB and Mark Kermode agree with me? There was no-one I recognised from Misfits though - which was a surprise - perhaps their recruiting did not get as far as E4>

OK, so I went to see "Fast Girls" because it had Bradley James in it, and, while it's a bit of a pre-Olympic marketing opportunity, it looked fun and had lots of actors I recognised from the good old BBC in it. I persuaded the MIB and Daffodil Ranger to go with me, but not Captain Enthusiastic, because he did not want to see a film about running with no space battles. *sigh*

The cinema was pretty empty, which was a shame, because I thought this was a pretty good film - as Mr Kermode says, it's a sports movie, with all the sports movie cliches, but well done and thus fun to watch.

The majority of the main characters, and pretty much all of the supporting characters, are female, which is a refreshing change, and the dialogue was sharp, and the plot just predictable enough that I could work out what was going to happen about thirty seconds before it did, which makes me happy :-)

Mark Kermode's review

The MIB enjoyed it too - despite his black jeans and general image, he is quite sentimental underneath, and is going to get hooked on the Olympics when it finally happens.

Has anyone else seen it - I'll recommend it to anyone who thinks they like that sort of thing, as a good example of the genre, with bouncy music and only slightly less bouncy fit young women ;-)
