I just read this very cool article about a procedure to grow  replacement blood vessels  from your own skin.  Kinda makes you wonder how long it'll be before we're growing more complex organs doesn't it ?

and you need a sample of approriate tissue from the recipient ... i don't think you'd find any brain tissue there to start with ...

Very cool! I think this is still quite a few years away at least... They'll probably start using it in the military to try and save severly damaged vasculature in limbs, that might expedite the process... It did for the Nova-lung. Then, we might get a chance to see it in general use.
