OOHHH - that is soooo awesome!!! I now have to go back and read the second part (darn the luck) and wonder what I'm going to have to do to woo more out of you!!! You do Chris and Vin soooo well!!!!

And of course I want to know more about the scars and about Vin's other experiences and Chris' learning about them as well.

Beautifully done. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Thank *you* so much for reading and commenting! There was supposed to be a third one in between this one and 'Not The First Time' where they're in the saloon, but Mr Inspiration buggered off midway through that one. (Perhaps he had a hot date?) (I have serious icon envy now. That is such a perfect Vin-and-Chris moment captured in yours.)

Thanks - I do love me some good Chris-Vin moments!!!

And yes, as soon as RL gets better, we do want the second part of this story!!! Or perhaps the third part could be the morning after, where they wake up together and Chris really is just as he promised Vin he'd be?

With, of course, the requisite morning sex . . . .

This is a really nice story. I love the intertwining of the two stories, of the domesticity of his family like pre-Sarah. (Which is something I don't recall having ever seen before, I love that Chris had a life before Sarah, and I'm intrigued by the separation of her from the situation, other than of his taming: is he past his grief or does she not connect because Vin is a man? I think it's probably the former, but the other possibility is interesting too.) Also, I love Chris' parents. They are so cute. Such a happy little scene, it almost reminds me of my parents--not the subject matter, of course, but the tone of it is something comfortingly domestic to me. Ah, memories.

I love the juxtaposition of that to catching Vin bathing, I love Chris' insights. I read the other part first a long time ago (can't remember if I left a comment or not, because I suck) but I love how different the tone is between the POVs.

I just love this. You should write more. Like, uh, how about now? XP

Wow again! Thank you *so* much for taking the time and trouble to leave me such wonderful feedback on this story too. It's so lovely when one fires up one's computer to find that someone has been kind enough to leave a comment and particularly lovely when it's such a detailed one. Thank you a million times.

*joyful flail* MY LUVS YOU!!!

I should probably be embarrassed by that little outburst, but it just sums up how this fic makes me feel perfectly.

This was a lovely look at Vin through Chris' eyes. It was thoughtful with just the right touch of lust, to spice it up perfectly. I especially liked this line: "Quite early on in their friendship he and Vin had started finding it difficult to disappoint one another" which sums up their friendship very nicely, I think. Thank you very much. I hope to see more from you.
