Italy Website

Apr 13, 2007 13:54

I just finished a website for my aunt and uncle's place in Italy (they rent it out occasionally). Their old site didn't do any justice at all to the place so I spruced it up a bit. I initially tried to use a web authoring program to add some cool features but I got really frustrated and finally just reverted back to notepad. Props to brad for html ( Read more... )

hyperlinks use < a > and < a > has different metadata you can use
http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_a.asp. Firefox and IE pull mouseover info from idderent attributes (me thinks), so you just need to have same metadata in both.

haha sorry. so basically you have to use different types of the < a > tag in IE and FF. So you will have to find which one IE uses and set it with the same info you set the one for FF...clearer?

Dude, I want to visit that house :)

But the website looks really good. It seems like it was loading pretty slowly though.

Yeah....I wonder if I've got the photos not compressed enough.

Per dpb's comment, it loaded really fast for me. No issues.

I think the website looks great. Very classy and professional with a color scheme that complements the house itself. The pages are very visual with just the right amount of text to accent the images, but without distracting from them. I was able to breeze through it and get a real sense of the place in just a couple of minutes.

Also, I'm determined to go there now. I'd kinda like to shoot a film there. Maybe a murder mystery.

Glad you like the site, thanks for taking a look. You'll definitely have to come over with me sometime.

What a gorgeous place. If I win the lottery (which would be statistically amazing since I don't buy tickets) I'd get a place in Rome and a villa in the countryside. Oh, and a place in New Orleans. You gotta come down sometime.
