OK guys, I have some news that will either cause tears or rejoicing, depending on your particular view of things.

Eli Stone will probably not be coming back.

No, that is not the news; most of us knew that, though some (me included) held a misplaced faith that ABC would see the error of its ways and pick it back up, or that another network would see

While I personally could see a Eli Stone without Maggie quite easily, I don’t imagine the producers can, so letting her go means The Powers That Be have accepted the death of this show.

Drat.

Victor Garber has a slug of little projects in the offing. Including a recurring character on Fox’s Glee (which sounds like it will be either terribly amusing or totally abysmal - it’s Fox, I’m not taking any bets). With any luck he and the rest of the cast will now be free to try out for some of the new fall pilots.

And at least ABC has promised to air the remaining shows.

I must admit I almost feel lost without Eli. I was so used to that funny little smile. Well, the show was really great and all the characters have grown and become a perfect machine. I will miss it incredibly. But we all, at the end, must obey to the market rules! Too bad!

It sucks, but it doesn't really surprise me, unfortunately. It's not like ABC treated the show that great before it was canceled. I don't know why it would be any different after it was.

Since we aren't going to get any more Eli and Nate scenes on Eli Stone, I just really hope that Jonny Lee Miller and Matt Letscher work together again sometime. I liked pretty much everything about the show, but the scenes with Eli and Nate were always my favorite. I don't care if it's another tv show, a movie, or whatever. Heck, they're both so good they could probably do a dramatic reading of the phone book and make it interesting. I know I'd watch it. ;-) LOL
