Life and such...

Writing: I don't know where my priorities are going right now since I am so wrapped up in Razor still. I hope to get scene six posted today or tomorrow!!

I also wrote that short in response to the prompt challenge that someone has suggested some really interesting work with. *sighs* I am really getting away from my romance, but we shall see where ( Read more... )

thanks for adding me! I'd love to take a look at your writing when I have more time, which will be this week, I promise :) I have much to do today... ;) It's St. Patrick's Day so you add two and two together what is happening. In no state to critique fine writing, and I am sure you will appreciate it if I read it in the clear of mind. Take care, will be surveying your work soon.

Thanks for adding me back. As for looking at my work, your convenience is what is important. ;) And I really do like constructive criticism, so feel free to wait until you are capable. *lol* I hope you have a wonderful St. Paddy's Day.

Is it bad to have priorities in your writing? Lol. I hope you meet your goal. I really need to get my next chapter up, myself. Ugh. Like eight months late. People hate me now. x_x

What short? Was that something I missed? I like prompts, they can really get the creativity going. That's party why I love my Creative Writing class.

Lol, I honestly hate romance, so I'm not complaining if you're getting away from it. Heh. I find most heterosexual romance irks me. Even if I am straight, lol.I just don't find I can relate to any female characters in those settings. I can't recall the last time I could relate to a female in a het story ( ... )

I doubt people hate you for not posting. Part of the reason I can post mine as fast as I can is that I am posting mine rough-rough. The spelling and grammar are good because I am an innate editor in that respect, but the rest of it needs going over.

As for the volume of my writing, part of that is because I am not in school. When I was in school, I probably would have written less. Second, I started writing in the Nano challenges two years ago and I think it has significantly inproved my output, if not my quality. ;) I am doing WriYe for the first time this year and loving it.

I have written and read romance for so long that it is very different for me to write something like Razor. I have to admit, although it is hard, I think it is really important in a lot of ways, many of which are internal ( ... )

I don't know if it's real hate, but I did have a few threats. x_x People can be mean sometimes, lol. To be honest, it isn't that I'm worried I'll be hated. I'm worried I'll be forgotten. I'd built up a pretty good sized fanbase considering I'm not famous or anything. It'd suck to see that go away so easily. But you know, you make people wait, this kind of thing happens. Maybe someday I'll be published and I can get those people back again, lol ( ... )

I don't know..If they were making threats, I wouldn't want them back. If they just drifted off, then I would want them back. ;)

I would love the info that you got at the seminar! I truly want to be published one of these days (read: in the next 5 years). I wouldn't mind being published by Harlequin considering that a number of their authors do go on to write in the larger field of romance or in other genres.

I know that if I don't get this apartment whipped into shape soon, I won't. Part of my motivation is having a space for my writing, my art, and my AVON.

That job almost sounds too good to be true...If you were traveling, I would think it would be full-time at least.

I just finished the trout, but earlier I had stuffed Tilapia. :D Of course, I am also having cake. ;)

If grains make you sick, stay away from them. Although I would get tested to find out which ones you are allergic/sensitive to. For several years, I stayed away from wheat, barley, spelt, oats, etc. because they thought I was allergic to wheat. Turns ( ... )

Writing doesn't seem to cater to priorities. :P What you think you should be working on doesn't always mean your muse agrees. At least mine rarely does. March was supposed to be mainly an editing month... or one of my other WIPs, not the new one that's taking over my life. Now that I think more about it, priorities and writing probably don't even belong in the same sentence. -grins-

I'm glad life is going better and I see you on the Consistency Challenge!

I think that one of the things that Nano has taught me is that writing doesn't mean that I can only write when the muse is talking to me. It also taught me to listen to the muse(s) when (s)he is(are) talking. So, I am working on Razor, and trying to work on my plotting for PlotWk as well. ;)

As for the Consistency challenge, I fell down on that one, but I will be working on getting back into it, so no worries.

The new apartment has a hike and bike trail I want to explore. :D
