You know, practice makes perfect. I started out lamest of lame. Just the programmes you use can make a big difference. Other than that, I just keep trying new things, get as many funky brushes as I can, try to learn from tutorials, and experiment. If you're interested in a tutorial from me, let me know. :)

Hmm... what program do you use? I've got PSP Five and Photoshop-I'm-not-sure-what-edition, but I'm absolutely crappy at using it. It makes no sense.

Photoshop is evil, it should die.

I use PaintShop Pro 9, which 0wnz. It's got loadsa features, but it's pretty easy to figure out, so it shouldn't be a problem. You can download a free trial at www.jasc.com, it's a shame it works only 60 days, though.
