I am thinking lots and lots of good karmic thoughts for you and her. I will complain along with you. Lets sue the universe for not delivering on said sunshine and daisies pregnancies. ;>)

Totally. Obviously we'll need a lawyer... think Guan-Yin's doing anything? She's pretty sympathetic to human travails..
Thanks, really. :) given the scares we've had already, I'm mostly feeling a bit relieved. One dud kidney isn't nearly as bad as it *could* have been, and she's still growing fine and otherwise healthy.
I felt my first definite kick last night. ^-^ It was so exciting.

You've got the right attitude about it. That first kick is great, wait till she starts playing football with your bladder thats when the fun really starts.

She's been bomping on and off all day today. That's how it feels - it's not a butterfly or a tickle, it's a sturdy little 'bomp!' It feels adorable now. I suspect it's going to feel a lot less adorable once a sturdy big bomp is applied to my kidney. *g*
Things will work out okay. My Nana was born with 3 kidneys and lived to 91. I have a young cousin who had half his bowel removed at birth and is now living a normal life on solid food - something they didn't ever expect to happen. Kids are resilient and adapt.
