It's me silly. Reuben! I run/update the Official Elienai Live Journal. What's up? Do you want to audition? ::wink:: You can just stand there and look cool.

I love your Live Journal settings, ie. colors, user pics, and AFI background. Nice work. I want to put the Elienai logo in the background. How do I do it?

I really want to know how to input the html overrides like your journal. Can you show me what to put in and maybe use over symbols like "[ ]" (brackets) instead of "< >" ? Then I can be one of the cool kids like you and have a baddass Live Journal too. Please.

I saw Nihlist play last Saturday, and I was disappointed because the sound in the Solid State made what is usually a really good band sound like something that would make me want to commit suicide. I will be glad to see them play in a place where they can truly be appreciated... and I really want to see CUAD.

Ha ha... Don't worry Jay I wasn't there, so I don't mean it (sounds like a garage band). A simple solution is to always designate a friend in the crowd who's opinion you could trust, to tell you what needs to be louder and what needs to come down. Always double check after the first song at least, but better to do it before you begin your set because your first song is always your most important [first] impression. You should always be intense & hard-hitting as to end that first song with the crowd in awe and of course wanting more.

I've heard plenty about the show late that night from a handful of friends, and the common opinion was Deric was a little too loud, and your amp wasn't loud enough. Place the blame on the club for it's poor and limited sound abitlities, but I wouldn't want to play too many shows with a poor "live sound" (what they call shows when amps don't get mic'd. Have a designated listener.

Actually Reuben, just so ya know, that curl up and die show w/ nihlist at the meow is actually next weekend, Friday the 18th..... it's suck to drive there expecting that show just to find No Thanks to You and Rhythm Of 84... not to say those bands are bad at all but I've done that once or twice.... it would be a damn shame w/ these gas prices we've been seeing lately too :). Just thought I'd give ya the heads up. Peace.
