It's time for that post: The year in review
And now, the short version! Everything is relative, so I'm just going to compare how well I did this year compared to previous years:
Personal goals: Accomplished more or less 40% of what I wanted. Note to self: set more realistic goals.
Romantic life: Stable! But it would have to be quite terrible to be worse than last year.
Health: Uh… worse. At least until stuff with that tumor gets worked out.
Mental Health: A WHOLE LOT BETTER. Seriously, I haven’t been this good since… at least six years ago? This alone made my year.
Academics: On one hand I have only one year left and got TONS of experience this year. On the other hand I did so much stupid stuff I really want to kick myself.
Fandomish stuff: This is the FIRST year since I was twelve that I haven’t RPGed or written any fanfiction. It feels weird. But not exactly wrong. I just wasn’t in the mood.
Money: Not bad, but I could have saved a lot more if I bothered to cook more frequently.
And finally, my New Year resolutions:
1- Finish med school (ongoing!)
2- Make posts in Spanish once in a while
3- Draw 100 pieces of fanart, one for each canon I like (I want to draw again, it’s been so long)
4- Achieve positive karma balance (…ongoing)
5- READ MORE BOOKS. Let’s say… at least 24? Two books a month, shouldn’t be so hard to find the time.
6- Finish whatever computer game I’m playing before I buy new ones (ahahahaha, I just bought Neverwinter Nights 1&2)
7- Rec one canon a month.
8- Stop buying new earrings (I think I could wear a new one every day for a year)
9- Save at least 30% of my salary
10- Learn to relax and let go and don’t take offense so easily.
With all that said: Happy New Year everyone! Hope you’ll get just what you want in 2009.
