Jason leaving TT :(

Sep 25, 2014 11:04

Obviously I am utterly devastated on hearing the news. As i'm sure many of you know Jason was always my favourite in the band and it's definately going to be strange to have Take That without him. But I can't be horrible or selfish about it, after all I don't actually know him but it is his decision to make, if he really truely doesn't want to be ( Read more... )

robbie williams, jason orange, howard donald, mark owen, gary barlow, take that

Jason leaving breaks my heart :( But as you said, it's his life and I'm sure he didn't make the decision lightly. As long as he's happy... I'm gonna miss him terribly though.

Pretty sure Robbie is not involved in the next album, as Gary, Mark and Howard have been in the studio all year and Rob hasn't been with them at all, so I guess it's just gonna be the three of them now...

All my friends are like 'are you really that upset?' and i'm pretty much just wailing 'you don't understand!'. I feel much better about it today though.

That's what I figured, it's says on wiki that he is on hiatus though (I know that's a really reliable source) so maybe he'll come back again in the future?

TT as three just reminds me of that footage on the BW DVD when Howard was off cause of his lung and they all made jokes about how they were gonna change the name to Take Three and how they didn't have to change the logo, just makes me sad now :(

I can't really wrap my head around TT as three people - I guess it'll really hit me when I see them perform without Jay for the first time.

I think Robbie has been busy with his own tour (he was just in Australia touring as far as I know) and with a second baby on the way, I'm sure he wants some family time now after being on the road so much. And as far as I know, Gary's also said that Robbie wasn't gonna be back for the next album so I guess he won't be involved in whatever happens next. You never know what happens after that...

I know what you mean, it's definately weird it just being 3 but i suppose it was weird them being 4 at first as well, I was born in 1993 so unfortunately I wasn't really around to experience the 90's era so for me I never really minded about Rob, I mean I grew up with his solo music so I guess that just made me like him more as a solo artist.

I just hope it works out and the new album lives up to my hopes and that Gary, Howard and Mark still enjoy making the music :)

I think it will be weird to see them as a three-piece, but I've seen them when Howard was injured...and to be honest: I didn't miss Howard at all. It worked.

And (sorry, I don't want to sound mean, I love Jason) since Jason wasn't the one with the lead vocals, and stopped singing alltogether during the concerts (at least that's what some fans said)... I will only miss his awesome dancing skills, his smiles and his joy...

It is true, he never was a big presence in the band but I think sometimes you need someone like that, who is willing to let others take the spotlight but I agree with what you said in terms of seeing them without a memeber (in your case Howard). The music kind of stands on it's own, i've seen Gary solo hundreds of times and whenever he sings 'Back For Good' or 'Never Forget' I still love it just as much as if it was all of them.

I have faith that there is still more great music to come :)

Same here...
Jason has always been my 2nd favourite (Mark will always be No1), and it makes me sad that he decided to leave.
But somehow it doesn't surprise(?) me... I felt that he wasn't feeling very comfortable the last years...Of course, I don't know nothing about him... but I somehow could feel it.

The main thing is that he is happy.
And he will always be a part of Take That (just like Robbie). Maybe he'll come back one day. :)

And I'll always support TT... because they and their music has been such a huge part in my life, and I don't want to miss it.
