my highschool likes to try and get you to give them money by sending you letters on fancy stationary with a little black ribbon enclosed. the ribbon is to remind you of the days when you wore the ol' uniform to school and tied the neckhole together with the very same little grosgrain ribbon. this is to make you reminisce and feel sentimental
