Okay, I figured I might as well start actually using this journal for something, so here goes.

I finished Awakening and Witch Hunt last night as part of my attempts to go through all of the DLC I can before DA2, since I want to import a character. My impressions? Pretty good.

Awakening was lots of fun, and I really liked some of your party members. I'm rather curious about how the whole Justice/Anders thing is going to work out in DA2, but it's definitely not a bad curious. I just wonder how it'll affect their personalities, mostly. I also really liked the Architect. Very cool. I do wish that we'd had more of a chance to play around with our party members, but I can deal.

Anyway, after I finished Awakening, I headed over to play Witch Hunt. I knew that people were very disappointed with it when it first came out, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot. As a result, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I really liked it! The characters were fun (and I especially loved all of their various interactions that they had while walking around), and I enjoyed the combat. Plus, you know, Dog. 'Nuff said.

Also, was it just me, or was that final boss something that they've showed on the DA2 page? They call it by a different name, but it looks like the same thing. That and they say that it's an old Arlathan creature.

All that being said, though, I can understand why people reacted the way they did. It was disappointingly short, and the ending wasn't much of an ending. I also would hardly call it a fitting end for the Warden's story. I also think that part of the problem was that it was released at the same time as Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect. Kinda blew it out of the water.

Also, while I was finishing up Awakening last night, my phone went off to let me know that I got an email. It was informing me that I got into the Legends closed beta. I guess being home sick is good for something, at least.
