Oooh, quite nice. I particularly like your characterization of Filch; we see him so often as the students' virulent enemy, it's good to see another side to his personality. *He* doesn't much like the German soldiers either. :)
Hope you don't mind if I friend you, your fic's quite good.
Thank you SO much for the response--rather cool to hear back from the author of the story you're savoring!
So yes, Harry is now all by his lonesome. But those memories of the war he experienced--somehow I get the feeling he has a bit ticker of skin than the Harry we know from the Canon. Those memories or whatever they are/are becoming are driving me round the bend with curiosity!
And absolutely adored the almost parallel workings of the student and Nazi ranks: the various layers of loyalty to the cause, the different motivations, the leadership and management, the seditious side fellows...it just keeps building! I feel as if we've only just started to crack the surface of the story, that the players are starting to move into place and that everything's about to spill over...
Looking forward to the next! (You're making me curious about this "Stalag 17")
Is everything all right?danielleinindiaJuly 7 2007, 23:47:26 UTC
Hello again,
Am sure you're probably just swamped with real life happenings or a stint of writer's block/un-motivation, but just wanted to make sure everything was okay--it's been awhile since we've heard from you!
