I love that book. I love all of the magic realists with the exception of Garcia-Marquez. I think that I would like his work if I could read it in Spanish. That's a goal.

Yay for the offer!! Let me know how it goes. And by the way, we get another ultrasound! It's scheduled for the 31st at 11am.. so hopefully, we'll know if we're having a Felicity or Raine! :D

Life's not a job
it's a journey
long, struggling, seemingly - at times - never ending.
We rest our heads heavily
at the end of each day
wondering what we could have done
just a little bit better along the way,
as our thoughts drift silently
to places never seem
our hearts lift in flight
to a life that's just a dream...
Only to awaken
to a yet another day
filled with hope and anticipation
of nothing more
than life hidden behind
an open door.

Take the job
Make the money
Buy the house
Have the kids
Live your life
for those around you
who
without you
are lost

I heard that you all had an amazing time. I hope my girlfriend did not share anything too embarrassing about me.

By the way, in regards to the anonymous post, I completely disagree with it. I think it is the worst combination of self-satisfying and self-depravating bullshit jargon I have heard in a while. It seems to be saying that you should grab on to the hard 'responsibilities' that the world offers so that you can humbly save the ones who need you most. What if you gave up the job, shared the money, sold the house, loved your family, and lived not your life, but the life you were given, for those who don't have anyone to depend on? I'm in a strange mood right now, but that just seemed kind of self-aggrandizing.
