YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH JOHN MCCUTCHEON. That's it; we were separated at birth. We should get our parents together and see if they look guilty.

"The Red Corvette" cracks me up. I was once putting together a "girl power" mix of songs about strong women, and I think that one was on the list, along with McCutcheon's "SuAnne Big Crow".

I fully support the separated at birth theory, and we really should! But in all honesty, my mother gets the credit for the John McCutcheon song, and now I have to look up more of his stuff. I was so confused as to why she had suggested it for the mix until the last verse, ha!

i've seen him in concert twice. he's hilarious on stage. he's my second-favorite songwriter, after rich mullins.

perhaps for your mom's, "Remains of the Day" from The Corpse Bride or "Midnight Well" by Celtic Thunder? tho both of them focus more on the female victim than the male villain.
