Just got our power after six days. Got home from waiting 3 hours on line for gas and, miracle of miracles, the lights were on! First thing I did was turn up the heat because it has been soooo cold. Long Island still has a lot of damage and we send our love to everyone who is still in the dark. Hope you are all safe!!! XOXOXO

Wow. I'm so glad you've got power back, at long last! I was without power for 3 days once, but it was during the spring and the weather was nice. I know I went crazy, though, not having electric for that long. Having to sit in the dark and not being able to use the computer or watch tv was awful.

Of course, you've been through a lot more than I had to go through. I'm really glad things are better now.
