I don't wanna leave LJ, either

I just ended my Earthlink account, after 14 years, and I also just gave up my TiVo, which was a "lifetime" account (does that make me dead now?), so I suppose everything must change or end or something, but I ain't goin' anywhere for now.  Hell, I'm not even clicking on that link up there that tells me I'm old and must play with the new crayons.  ( Read more... )

Me either, elise_wanderer. I'm hoping this garrish dashboard with infinite scrolling will just all go away. I have a lot of friends here, too.

Happy Hallowee'en!

I'm afraid there's an even bigger redesign coming in the spring that's going to make things worse

If we all migrate together we won't lose each other.

This is my thought too. At least I'll probably still keep a mirror on LJ, but it just won't be my primary internet 'home' any longer.

You're getting the same comment as miamadwyn because I'm lazy and it applies to you as well.

I don't want to leave LJ either. But I may do so anyway. I'm already mirroring on DW so it won't be an enormous change for any of my flisters. It's more that my paid account here will lapse and then the adjustment to having a new primary journal, the latter being almost solely in my own head.

I'm lucky that the new layout is not actively unpleasant for me to look at, but if it takes away my ability to have my own layout and make it mine then it kills the vast majority of my joy of using the site, friends not included. I'm reaching the point where I'd rather remember it as it was instead of the unhappyness it has become.
