Ann Hathaway's "I Dreamed a Dream" in the trailer gave me chills and tears. Given that's only the first act, I know I'm in for a treat. Can Amanda Seyfried sing? Adult!Cosette's kind of a boring character, so I suppose it's not the end of the world if she can't, and I know she can't be worse than that breathy ingenue they rather foolishly cast as Johanna in Tim Burton's "Sweeney." But really? Jackman alone will be worth the price of admission, IMHO. And Mr. 42 knows Les Miz better than he likes to admit, so I shouldn't have any trouble dragging him.

OMG, you've seen it?

I do like the show - a lot - so I've been (fearfully) looking forward to the film. I'm so glad to hear that it's good!

After seeing the trailers I am really looking forward to it, which surprised me as I'm not the biggest fan of the stage play. Soooo envious that you've already seen it!

I have seen it on stage several times ... West End performance blew me away ... But I look forward to seeing the movie on Christmas. I'm going to be a blubbering mess, but I expect everyone else seeing it Dec. 25th will be the same.
