the terrible horrible no good very bad day

I usually have my defenses up but today some kid in the middle of class said some joke about gay people being disgusting and I kinda just went into shock and felt like someone had hit me. I don't know why I took it so hard, but I was getting really mad, and if people know me, anger to me comes in two forms A)yelling and tearing a person to shreds, ( Read more... )

Crap. That's way worse than getting gum stuck in your hair and ugly shoes. *pets you* It's hard to watch your parents, or really anyone you care about in pain. We have a lot of that in my family. And to the gay-haters, I'd have to say, yes, it is gross, but is it really any grosser than het sex? No. All sex is sloppy and wet and makes funny noises and involves rubbing waste disposal areas together. Also, all sex is better with lube, though preferably *warm*. And? No babies to furher clutter up the planet.

yeah, usually I can take on the homophobes in full force, but today I just couldn't take the heat.

As for the mother thing... We've been dealing with it for 8 years now? I am just surprised by my reaction. Even when she was in the hospital it wasn't like this. The additional pressures around the house really do make it suck that much more. I just feel that at 23 I should have a little better grip on my emotions.

You're a rockin lady, Abi, thanks for responding quicker than two shakes of a lamb's tail.

Heh. I'm 26 and still can't always control my emotions when I'm tired, or just, you know, upset. You are a good daughter. It just gets harder the longer things go on. Eight years is a looooong time. *pets you*

Also? 23 is a prime number and therefore very special. Not a damn thing special about 26, but! 27 is a perfect cube, so at least I have something to look forward to.

Yeah the hate is that way. Sometimes you can be all tough & answer back w/ your chin up, sometimes it just hurts. On the upside, the pain is an indication that you're a human being w/ a functioning heart.
