Until I turned twenty-one, I kept a journal. A real journal. It stayed tucked in a drawer on my bedside table and after a particularly long or exciting day, I'd stay up for hours just to scribble down thoughts. It was almost like going to therapy. My fingers and palms would cramp up from pages and pages of writing down every detail I could remember ( Read more... )

I'm at such a loss for words right now. At such a loss that I emoted to you. You are such a sappy person right now, but I'm okay with that too, at least for right now. I think everyone thinks they know everything at 21, but knowing that you don't is always a good step towards being a better person. You're something special, someone worth having in my life. You can stay in on Friday, you can dance around, you can lay on the floor if you choose to. Just let me do it with you.

I still can't believe you emoted. You never emote. It's only a temporary state of sap, I'll snap out of it soon. I hear the floor is uncomfortable but I'm sure it wouldn't be that bad with you.

Emoting is a sign of weakness, I'll never do it again. It's a little uncomfortable, but it'll work when we need it too.

It is not! Don't ruin all the progress I've made. We'll sleep on the floor and pretend you're homeless again.

I found an old journal of mine and the only thing that stands out was an entry about some guy pissing in the back lane of my first home. Nothing compares to the beauty of my writing and the various eww's scribbled hastily onto the page but for the sentimentality award, I think you win that one.

Well I also liked to draw stick figures of ex boyfriends and write DOUCHEBAG in bubble letters. Really classy stuff. Thanks, God.

I wish you'd described it a bit like Patrick's diary in American Psycho with all of the guts drawn leaking out of bodies. You've no idea how funny I thought my cookie comment was.

Oh hell, I wish my journal was as cool as Patrick Bateman's. Hahahaha, I don't know. I thought it was pretty awesome. I bet God is also the creator of some pretty fucking tasty baked goods.

I've kept journals my whole life and most of them I'd never open again for fear of being transported back in my head to whatever was going on then, good or bad. I don't even like to read old entries I've typed here, the memory of the moment is better for me than reliving it so clearly through what I've written.
I love the music you uploaded!

I'm with you on reading old journal entries here. I tried it once, it made me cringe. If you really like it, I could upload their entire EP for you. It's only about eight songs, but they're wonderful.

If it's not too much trouble, I would LOVE that.

Being able to say that you don't know anything is one of the wisest statements anyone can make. And for the record, I'm happy that you're happy. :-*
