Went into the Art Gallery and saw Lenny yesterday. Really good film, I recommend it. I heart you, Bob Fosse. This Sunday they'll be showing the Marlene documentary, which should be very interesting, seeing as my knowledge of Marlene Dietrich isn't that good ( Read more... )

Which Marlene documentary is it? They have a poster for the one they did about 20 years ago in a little flea market stand I go to. I've always had my eye on it, but my pocket doesn't want to part with the $100 they want for it. Marlene's a fabulous and totally fascinating woman. There's so many stories about her and different facets to her personality that I don't think anyone will ever totally understand her. Ah, those European women...

It's the 1983 Maximillian Schell doco, so that's probably the poster for it. I'm really looking forward to it - I'm not a huge fan of hers, but I think she's very interesting.
