First of all, I love this season for giving me something I’ve not had since BtVS and AtS went off air: A TV show not just rich, but so saturated with meta, layers, themes, parallels, foreshadowing, symbolism, mirroring, etc. etc. that I hardly know where to start. Hence the fact that this is a long, rambly and somewhat incoherent stab at three

“It’s the most important thing left in the universe. That’s why I’m doing this.”
Sacrificing himself so that a little girl can have her parents back. One girl. But it isn’t because he loves her more than anyone else. (I hate the way people try to quantify love.) To quote ascian3, talking about Spike:
Spike loved, and that's his power. He understood in the end that the things he loved in the specific - Manchester United, cigarettes, dog racing, and Buffy - couldn't be separated from the world they exist in.
Because it really helped to clarify a fanfic problem that I'd been having. Thanks!

And thank you for reading.

And if you haven't already seen it, you need to get hold of Press Gang (teh Moff's first show). I think you'll love Lynda Day, Spike, Kenny and co.

And I've heard lots of good things about Press Gang, so if I ever have the opportunity I'll definitely watch it!

Culminating in the incredible reveal of Amy in the Pandorica. Didn’t see that coming.
Absolutely! :D I was holding my breath for the Big Bang, wondering how on EARTH Moffat would polish off the absolute dream that was the Pandorica Opens, because that episode was just brilliant. So I wondered the entire time - will he do it? Can he live up to himself in the end?
And the moment I saw Amy Pond sitting in the Pandorica, I KNEW he could. Because it just set me laughing, and laughing! Everybody except plastic!Rory is dying, and yet somehow, right as the title vortex shows, I'm laughing my head off, because Moffat is brilliant! I want to see ONE person who saw that coming. We were ALL waiting for it to be the Doctor, sitting there grinning madly at Amelia, and it's AMY. That's when I knew I'd love the episode.

I also love that the Doctor ‘ships it. Doctor is an Amy/Rory shipper till the last. Their little reunion scene, after Amy thinks Rory burned in ( ... )

Discontinuity, or something more?
And then it turns out to be the rewind. Moffat, you boggle me sometimes.
After F&S I immediatley went and watched Eleventh Hour again, because I wanted to know what she was supposed to remember; no wonder I didn't find it! :D Amazing.
I read both of the reviews you quoted from. :) Yeah.
One of these days I need to verbalize my ideas on Ten's and Eleven's regenerations... /hums/
Bye-bye, Pond. -heart breaks-
Happy!Amy is so sweet! Love her! She's still had at least a -bit- of torment in her life (she obviously still saw the psychiatrists about the Doctor, given her mother's words), but as a whole she is so, SO much happier. She's not alone anymore. <3 ( ... )

Looking forward to it.

Most beautiful scene EVER.

Exactly. Still as headstrong, but without that brokenness.
Oh, and Rory. Did I mention? I love Rory. I want a Rory. Can I have a Rory? Are you just saying yes because you're afraid of me? Yep. Oh, I want a Rory.
I want a Rory too! (Although my husband would probably object...)
Ooh, nice catch, I -like- that one. Best of both worlds, yeah ( ... )

Yeah, that was pretty much how I started...

Yeah, 'twas brilliant. Although I think my faith was probably already strong when it started with little Amelia, taking things very slowly. If he has the time to do this, then surely the rest will work out!

Doctor is an Amy/Rory shipper till the last. Their little reunion scene, after Amy thinks Rory burned in the Blitz, and Rory has been waiting for so long, is ADORABLE and sweet.
*nods a lot and points to icon*
He has the Doctor jumping between them, even while Rory and Amy are having this beautiful, romantic snog, and the Doctor's just like "Okay, I'm REALLY happy to see this, but world ending and all, we might want to go!" Thank heavens for the Dalek, yeah? /snicker/
There's this wonderful look of 'Humans! Do they have no sense of time and place?' I love it.
And little Amelia with the fez, thirsty. And she's thirsty because ( ... )
