Last Saturday we met with an architect about the house. This is a fixed price meeting and commits us to nothing, but we end up with a design report and sketches based on the information that we have given about what we want ( Read more... )

Ditto! Sounds very exciting. We may not be back now until around January so look forward to catching up and taking a look at the plans or perhaps the new house although that could be a bit soon for an erection ;-p

As builders don't build over January, there's no way house will even be begun before about MArch - if we're lucky. :(

Most likely house won't be finished till about this time next year - assuming only normal amounts of bad weather. But at least we should have plans and an idea of what it should look like by the time you get back. :)
